You might understand your innovation or technology, but does your audience? Often investors, partners and other audience groups don’t have the same understanding when it comes to technical scientific solutions or scenarios. Therefore investing in quality communication is key for success and growth.
This can be achieved through many mediums, all of which support written content, including:
Does your logo and visual identity reflect who you are and what you do? Logos are often peoples first interaction with your brand so looking credible, professional and understood gets people into the “shop”. Life science companies often want to reflect their innovation through a literal icon. However if what you do is complex then this could end up looking complicated, un-scalable and visually not appealing.
Orfonyx Bio, are harnessing their unique insights and proprietary computational platform to develop an emerging class of genetic medicines that target regulatory elements in untranslated regions of genes. The questions is how do you reflect this in a brand identity that is approachable and investible. The answer was focussing on the exploitation of their APEX technologies to enhance protein expression of target genes.
Our team developed an icon of organic rounded shapes overlayed to present an expressive brand mark. This paired with a modern typeface and neutral blue palette strikes a balance between innovation and expertise. The result was a brand mark that could be utilised across the identity for brand elements, image crops and infographics.
Cambridge-based Isogenica specialise in the fast, customised discovery of VHH antibodies – small-format, single-domain binders engineered to accelerate development and de-risk the early stages of biologics R&D. They needed to refresh their brand identity to stand out within their sector and create cohesion across all materials and platforms.
Our design team worked with Isogenica to develop a logomark with meaning showing an abstract representation of antibodies and their ‘ribbon’ structure, as well as the plotting of data and the team which make up the organisation. The unique logo and colour palette gives Isogenica an identity that is individual to them, reflecting what they do and supports the growth of the business.
Infographics and diagrams are a great way to breakdown a scientific solution. Through storytelling and clear visuals these assets can be a great tool for pitch decks, websites and events graphics. Hiring an agency who have experience in taking a complex scenario and being able to translate it visually to be more easily understood and look professional.
Over the years we have utilised iconography and illustration to produce infographics for various clients within life science, pharma and tech. Whether that’s a simple graphic that can be placed on a website or in a presentation, or a two page explainer that can be attached to an email or handed out at an event. We ensure the boxes are ticked no matter the format.
National Biofilms Innovation Centre’s mission is to establish a strong network of research and innovation in the study of biofilms to achieve breakthrough solutions. As a hub for information we have worked with NBIC to develop a wide array of infographics to show scenarios that supports them and their audience to understand the various applications of biofilms. From agriculture to dental care, our team ensured all graphics felt like a cohesive set with engaging visuals and strong readability.
If you wanted to take your infographics a step further animated videos are a quick and impactful way to explain who you are, what you do and what problem are you solving. A bespoke animation can be a cost effective way of breakdown your science, which otherwise may be expensive or potentially even impossible if showing scenarios on a cellular level. Whether it’s animated characters and scenes or expressive cells and data points. Our team works with clients to tell their story in a way that engages with their viewers and investors.
As the scientific arm of Yakult, Identity Creative created a suite of informative animations for Yakult Science for Health. Starting with initial hand-drawn storyboards and bespoke illustrative designs, all the way through to producing the full animation synced with audio voiceover. It was key to ensure the science was accurate and the video resonated with the viewer. The suite of animations are on-brand and provide Yakult with high value pieces of content to do the explaining for them.
