National Biofilms Innovation Centre

We’re excited to share our branding and design work for the National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC), whose mission is to establish a strong network of research and innovation in the study of biofilms to achieve breakthrough solutions. Identity Creative were brought on board to update and modernise their logo design and brand identity, complete with a coherent set of brand guidelines to ensure their visual message is clear, professional, and recognisable across a wide variety of marketing materials.

The Problem

NBIC needed a bold and contemporary brand identity that expressed their vision and supported their role as a leader in research and innovation. Their existing logo and visual identity lacked cohesion and no longer reflected the forward-looking nature of their work. Without clear brand guidelines, it was challenging to maintain consistency across their corporate communications, marketing collateral, and digital platforms. To strengthen their position, NBIC required a refreshed visual identity system that balanced modernity with scientific credibility.

The Solution

We created a bold and contemporary branding platform that communicates NBIC’s mission and values while giving them a distinctive, modern presence. The new logo design was a fresh take on their previous identity, allowing us to modernise the brand while retaining recognisability. A full set of brand guidelines was developed to ensure consistency across all applications, from corporate stationery and annual reports to flyers and digital marketing assets.

In addition, Identity Creative produced a wide range of graphic design deliverables, including infographics, printed collateral, and visual assets that clearly communicate NBIC’s vision and important work. These designs enhance both online and offline visibility, giving NBIC a versatile toolkit for marketing campaigns, presentations, and stakeholder communications.

Through our ongoing relationship with NBIC, we continue to support their mission with impactful design solutions that strengthen their brand presence and ensure their message is communicated with clarity and authority.
