This week, we got the opportunity to attend the London Social Ventures End of Pilot Showcase, a showcase celebrating the conclusion of a remarkable pilot project for London Social Ventures.
Featuring universities, founders, funders, and partners from all over London, the event showcased what has already been accomplished and outlined what is yet to come. As the team who collaborated with London Social Ventures over the past year in developing the branding, website, and accompanying materials, it was a very special event for us to be part of.
The session revealed the magnitude and extent of ventures fostered through the programme, as the speakers spoke about the role LSV has played in facilitating their expansion, supporting their ideas, and providing fresh avenues. It was highly enlightening to witness the transformation of passion-driven ideas into ventures that have made a difference to society through a platform that promotes cooperation and development. It became clear that these were more than ventures; they were ventures with a specific purpose and vision that were propelled by the platform LSV offers.
In creating the LSV identity, our goal was to produce an identity that had connections to London but also represented ideas of connection and growth. This lead to the creation of a logo that would be understood as LSV yet hint at the motion of the River Thames. It was truly gratifying to see how well this concept worked and how much positive feedback we received about the identity from those who attended the event.
Apart from the presentations themselves, the whole experience gave us an invaluable chance to meet many companies and organisations which contribute to the development of a more vibrant and thriving environment. Discussions during the afternoon helped understand the way in which LSV managed to unite universities, startups and investors into one place where ideas could not only flourish but be tested and developed further.
As the pilot comes to an end, there is a shift toward thinking about the future, which will include research outcomes, impact assessments, and further programme development. It is obvious that London Social Ventures is gaining momentum, and this showcase represented a big step in positioning itself as part of the innovation ecosystem. It is truly remarkable to have worked alongside LSV to achieve this milestone, and we are extremely proud of seeing how our efforts helped innovative projects rise and thrive confidently.
